High-energy RLT, such as those used in medical settings, can pose a risk to the eyes and often requires the use of protective eyewear. However, we use low-energy red LED light, similar to what researchers have recently found beneficial in studies exploring RLT for dry eye and macular degeneration. That being said, we DO NOT recommend anyone look directly into the light, regardless of these recent findings.
